A dramatic author's evening that combines performative readings and electro-acoustic improvisational music. Juri Andruchowytsch and the multi-instrumental Karbido Trio juggle with contemporary aesthetics, genre patterns and the sound-creative memory of the musical avant-garde to create a musical-literary experiment.

The theater evening is a musical interpretation of texts from the novel "Radio Nacht", read performatively by the author.

It is the story of an opponent of the regime who imitates his own radio program in a hiding place (perhaps in prison). The background to the plot is the time of the pandemic, climate protests and Russian aggression - a time of burgeoning hopes for radical change.

Accompanying program to the current exhibition about the Ukrainian poet and freedom fighter Vasyl Stus

The event is being held in cooperation with the Verein zur Förderung der Städtepartnerschaft Düsseldorf-Czernowitz und Rinde Slowo e.V. and as part of the "Soundtrack to Freedom" series of events. The organizing consortium, consisting of the above-mentioned associations, the Gerhart-Hauptmann-Haus Foundation, the Ivan Franko Museum (Lviv), the Regional Museum for the Memory of Volodymyr Iwasiuk (Chernivtsi), the Düsseldorf City Libraries, the Polish Institute Düsseldorf, the Düsseldorf contributions "Respect and Courage" and the "Tracks of Memory" project of the Jewish Community Düsseldorf, will realize more than ten events in five cities this year.
