Just HEINE

In the organizer's words:

With over 10,000 songs to his poems, Heinrich Heine is one of the German-language poets most frequently set to music. Although there are many Heine song recitals, these usually only feature a small selection of well-known works.

Just HEINE includes well-known German art songs from the Romantic period as well as inspiring contemporary and foreign-language compositions. With them, the musicians Tarek El Barbari (piano), Lorenzo de Cunzo (baritone) and Ferdinand Dehner (tenor) open up a view of the diverse reception of Heine in music. In addition to works by Franz Schubert, Robert Schumann and Fanny Hensel, songs by Johann Vesque von Püttlingen, Guy Ropartz, Mykola Lyssenko, Guillermo Tomás, Wilhelm Killmayer and others will also be performed.

The artists will moderate the program.
