Alec & Ro Gebhardt present the program "Timetravelers"
".....outstanding Guitar-Music....."
On August 5, 2025, a familiar face will be coming to the May gallery of the daily newspaper junge Welt: the thoroughbred guitarist-composer-arranger Ro Gebhardt is considered one of the German figureheads of his guild when it comes to representing know-how made in Germany in the republic and the rest of the world. His reference book "Jazz-Alphabet" has won the German Music Editing Prize and the opening track of his current CD "Blue Music For A Blue Planet" has been awarded "Best R'n'B/Soul Song & Best Jazz-Rock Song" by the German Pop Foundation. Concerts at the Blue Note / New York, the Duc de Lombard / Paris or the A-Trane / Berlin are among the stations of his countless concert activities.
Together with his son and exceptional talent Alec Gebhardt, bassist (18 years old) and youngest ever winner of the Saar-Pfalz Culture Prize and young student at the HFM Saarland.
The Gebhardts take a close look at literature from jazz, pop, blues, Latin and classical music from different centuries and inspire with a lot of joy in playing and breathtaking improvisational skills. Of course, a few of their own songs from CDs produced by SR, BR and Deutschlandfunk will not be missing.
