People have always been driven by the desire to discover the unknown, to look over walls, cross seas and find out what is "on the other side". In Tangier, the home of Groupe Acrobatique, this desire becomes symbolic: with a view of the Strait of Gibraltar, this narrow passage between Europe and Africa, where two seas, two continents and different realities of life meet, questions about the "other side", about borders and overcoming them arise immediately.

Following the great success of their piece "FIQ!" at the Ruhrfestspiele 2022, the new production by Groupe Acrobatique de Tanger explores precisely these interfaces. Their creations combine urban parkour and breakdance elements with Moroccan acrobatic traditions such as daring human towers and somersaults without a net or false bottom. The human pyramids of Moroccan Berber culture in Tangier were once also created to look over walls in order to see the "other side". Today, it is the universal language of contemporary circus that is able to overcome these. Identities, genres and perspectives are interwoven in "KA-IN" to create a unique weave in which the cultural heritage shines through again and again, as azure blue as Morocco's famous house facades. For the first time, the company worked together with the renowned French choreographer Raphaëlle Boitel. Boitel's work is characterized by visually impressive and touching universes of light, costumes and music. In Paris, she developed "Horizon - Palais Royal", one of the cultural projects for the supporting program of the 2024 Olympic Games.
