INPUT / OUTPUT - Electronic workshop day

Welcome to "Kabelsalat", the electronic improvisation regulars' table at Kassablanca Jena!
We are taking our output to the next level - and invite you to a special day full of sound, exchange and inspiration: INPUT / OUTPUT.

On July 12, 2025, everything will revolve around the joint exploration and creation of new sound worlds on electronic instruments - in workshops, talks, an open stage and a selection of special live acts.

INPUT - Workshops & Sessions
In four thematic blocks, you will immerse yourself in practical knowledge transfer and creative processes:

Block 1: Hands-On Workshops
Experience practical sessions on field recordings, sound design and music production.
Topics include:

- Field recording
- Bass drum design
- Mixing & mastering with Wavelab and Ableton
- Dynamic EQing with FabFilter Pro Q4
- Music with the iPad
- AI modules & live circuit bending

INSIGHTS - experiences & discussions
Block 2: "Insights" - What's behind a live set?
A look behind the scenes: Artists from the Kabelsalat collective share their setups, tricks and personal approaches + "Listen to your production on the Kassablanca system" - Test your tracks on the club system!

JAMSESSION - Free space for sound
Block 3: Jam session
Everyone is invited to take part in the open jam session - with modular systems, grooveboxes, synths or just open ears. Experimenting together is expressly encouraged!

OUTPUT - Live Acts & Performances
Block 4: Output - live on stage in the evening:
The day ends with a series of live electronic performances - finely curated, improvised, danceable, experimental:
