"The city becomes a stage, transformed, widened, shadowed (...) In its open-air production "Kafkaesken", Aachen's Theater K, together with the dance theater "Mini-A-Tour" and a host of extras, dedicates itself to Kafka's thoughts in a world from which images emerge, threatening, curious, mystical.
The world premiere as a "dance-theatrical walk" becomes an event! "

For their homage to Franz Kafka, Theater K and Tanztheater Mini-A-Tour have combed through Kafka's estate and put together a collage of miniatures from his prose that are less well-known than his darker texts. Above all, the tender and playfully grotesque aspects of Kafka's literary imagery will come to life in a kaleidoscope of dance and theater in downtown Aachen. The approx. 1-hour "walking act" through the city center ends in "Lust auf Life" with the final scene of a bizarre evening party. And of course, the audience is invited to join the artists in a convivial "après" to round off the KAFKAESKEN.
