Kajenmarkt

Since 1986, visitors to Bremen's Schlachte have been able to start the weekend with lively live music at the Kajenmarkt. The market is not only popular with tourists, thousands of locals also flock to the Schlachte during the Kajenmarkt season to enjoy the unique Hanseatic atmosphere by the river.

If you fancy a fish sandwich, a grilled sausage, hot poffertjes or a glass of sparkling Prosecco or beer, the Bremen Kajenmarkt is the place to be. A colorful range of handicrafts, merchandise and useful items for everyday life completes the Bremen Kajenmarkt.

There is also music, of course: a mobile stage is set up near the Teerhofbrücke bridge, where changing artists perform shanties, swing, jazz, pop and rock'n'roll.

From Kajenmarkt, you have a beautiful view of the three-master "Admiral Nelson" (a faithful replica of the frigate "Picton Sea Eagle") and the three-master "Alexander von Humboldt" (known from Beck's advertising). The restaurants, beer gardens and cafés of the Schlachte are located directly downstream from the Kajenmarkt.
