With the song "Restless", the Norwegian band Kakkmaddafakka landed a hit back in 2011 that can already be confidently described as an indie classic - and probably has a permanent place on every indie lover's playlist. The band with the impressive name - which incidentally means "party animals" in Norwegian and not what you might think from the German derivation - started making music together when they were still at school. However, the two brothers Axel and Pål, who are still the singers of the indie band today, only released their first album years later together with their friends Jonas and Stian. "Down to Earth" was the name of Kakkmaddafakka's debut album, which was released in 2007 and already brought the band a decent audience in their home country of Norway. However, the ultimate breakthrough came with the second album "Hest", which also included "Restless". The sunny, feel-good indie of the Norwegians became known far beyond the Scandinavian borders - not least because of the wonderfully playful atmosphere and carefree lightness conveyed in the songs of Kakkmaddafakka. Further albums followed at regular intervals, which have recently lost a little of their lightness and instead convince through indulgent nostalgia. The last album to date, "Revelation", which the band released in 2022, also goes in this direction - and which the Scandinavians will now present alongside old songs on the upcoming extensive European tour. In Germany alone, Kakkmaddafakka invite you to a total of nine dates - in November 2025.
