Just as you steer a ship on rough seas, Kaleo navigate through the extremes of life with the help of music. The band from Reykjavík - consisting of JJ Julius Son (vocals, guitar, piano), Rubin Pollock (lead guitar), Daniel Kristjansson (bass) and David Antonsson (drums) - became the talk of the world in 2016 with their platinum-selling album "A/B". The single "Way Down We Go" went double platinum, "All The Pretty Girls" went gold and "No Good" received a GRAMMY® Award in the "Best Rock Performance" category. Kaleo continued this momentum with their second album "Surface Sounds" (2021), reaching the Top 6 at AAA with "I Want More" and "Break My Baby". To date, they have reached more than 4 billion streams worldwide and received 60 international certifications. In addition, the Icelandic band's music is conquering pop culture with dozens of film and television dubbed versions, including Marvel movies and TV series such as Grey's Anatomy and Riverdale. The boys have also made a name for themselves with appearances on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Good Morning America and many more. In addition to sold-out headline tours on several continents, Kaleo shine as a live force of nature to rival the Rolling Stones, wowing festival-goers at Coachella, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo and beyond. The band covers a broad spectrum of sounds and emotions, which is also evident on their single "Lonely Cowboy", released in 2024, where delicate fingerpicking underlines the cinematic lyricism. Musically, the track is a proud homage to Italian composer Ennio Morricone. Kaleo will continue to release new music and will be touring the world from June. As part of their "Packback Tour 2024", the Icelanders will also make a stop in Germany and play three concerts in Munich (26.11.), Hamburg (02.12.) and Berlin (05.12.).
