A journey between worlds and musical languages, between jazz tradition and south-eastern European folklore promises the encounter between the jazz formation Soulcrane led by trumpeter Matthias Schwengler and Bulgarian saxophonist Dimitar Liolev. To mark the band's tenth anniversary, Schwengler invites the experimental musician to explore new sound spaces together - between jazz and the poetic and rousing contribution of Liolev's influences. Since 2015, Soulcrane has stood for an intimate, almost cinematic jazz that draws on influences from the Balkans, the Arab world and Latin America and has developed a characteristic, melodic sound that is always open to new impulses.
