The search for the meaning of life of a woman in her late thirties and the great happiness of friendships between the generations.
Kathrin Weßling writes honestly and uncompromisingly about not being young anymore, shattered life dreams and how sometimes you find friendship in the most unusual places.
While her friends are having children and Instagram seems to be one big happy-wife-happy-life show, Katharina sits in her apartment and numbs herself with work and trash TV. In her late thirties, she has come to terms with this rather uneventful life in which anything is still possible. At least that's what she thinks until she finds out that she can no longer have children. Suddenly the nights in pubs and the days at her desk just feel pointless. Then she takes on a voluntary position at the Sonnenhang retirement home. Weekends now consist of smuggling eggnog, puzzles and bizarre, amiable encounters. When the next big decision comes up, Katharina has to ask herself what she actually wants. And whether she hasn't already found what she's so desperately looking for.
