The woman of cakes - Katja Berlin

The successful author and columnist Katja Berlin is currently regarded as the woman of satirical graphics. Last year saw the publication of the book "Wofür Frauen sich rechtfertigen müssen", a best-of work from her long-running ZEIT column "Torten der Wahrheit".

Katja Berlin now addresses the critical issues of our time live on stage. A collective of her best humorous graphics with topics such as digitalization, climate protection, equality or progress in Germany serves as the basis for what is probably the funniest political retrospective since the invention of the crisis.

Her first book "Was wir tun, wenn der Aufzug nicht kommt" sold over 300,000 copies. This was followed by 16 more books, including several bestsellers. At the same time, Katja Berlin wrote columns for "Handelsblatt Magazin" and "Berliner Zeitung" and worked as a podcaster. For nine years, she has been commenting on politics and society in her weekly ZEIT column "Torten der Wahrheit" (Cakes of Truth) and shows how humor can work in times of crisis with her satirical infographics. In 2024, this resulted in the book "Was Rechtspopulisten fordern" and "Wer mit dem Mindestlohn gut leben kann".
