A tribute to the power of friendship and the courage it takes to face one's own abysses. Annika leads a quiet life and has long since stopped thinking about the traumatic events that turned her world upside down more than 30 years ago. Until seventeen-year-old climate activist Luzie disrupts her everyday life and jogs her memory of the person whose name Annika barely dares to speak: Milena. In the Hamburg squatter scene of the 1980s, Annika, Milena and Matti were inseparable. They thought they were invincible, just like Luzie does. To save her from making a serious mistake, Annika gets in touch with Matti again. She travels to Italy to see him - and learns that everything she thought she knew about that time is a lie.

Katrin Burseg's penchant for history and stories led her to study art history, literature and Romance studies. She worked as a journalist, then began writing novels and reached a large audience with "Under the Snow". Growing up in northern Germany and at home in Hamburg, she became interested in the oceans and climate change at an early age. The associated consequences for coastal regions and the people living there inspired her to write her bestseller "Adas Fest". The idea for "Days with Milena" also stems from this topic.
