In the organizer's words:

The cat in the hat ends up in Stackeln an der Kruke by chance and moves into a big old house where the sour-faced director Maulwisch spent an unhappy childhood. The cat promises to make the house a happy place again and takes in more and more housemates who are looking for a new home. Soon the colorful flat-sharing community with Marianne the baguette, Captain Knaak, Zappergeck, Puddingbrumsel, Baby Hübner the musical pig, Stoplervogel and a sleepwalking llama is bringing a lot of life to Backpflaumenallee. Will the anarchic community be able to prove to landlord Maulwisch that solidarity and mutual respect are sometimes more important than paying the rent?

Puppeteer Nadia Ihjeij supports the LUTZ team in bringing to life the lovingly anarchic world full of stubborn creatures who use humor and music to turn social norms upside down and, in the process, provide an example of how living together across generations and cultural boundaries can work.
