KAYAN Project

A peace concert for Berlin! Weltkonzerte invites its audience to come together in these turbulent times to listen to the international sounds of the Berlin quartet KAYAN-Project at the Passionskirche Berlin.

"Kayan" is the Arabic word for existence. The musicians from Israel-Palestine, Syria and Poland have gathered around singer Eden Kami, who wanted to exploreher two mother tongues - Arabic and Hebrew - vocallyand musicallywith the project .

The young formation of Arabic oud, double bass and percussion combines classical and modern music as well as poetry from the Levant* with elements of jazz, which Eden Cami interweaves with bilingual singing.
