Kieler Woche 2025 mit Aura Dione und drei Newcomern auf der Rathausbühne

NDR 2 focuses on promising newcomers at the start of the event, NDR Schleswig-Holstein brings Aura Dione to Kiel: During this year's Kieler Woche, NDR is organizing the program on four evenings (Friday, June 20, Tuesday, June 24, Thursday, June 26, and Saturday, June 28) on the Rathausbühne.

NDR 2 stage program on the soundcheck evening

NDR 2 is bringing three newcomer acts to Kiel on Friday, June 20, presented on stage by NDR 2 presenter Dirk Böge.

Joya Marleen has already received four Swiss Music Awards and was the first female solo artist in Switzerland to reach the top of the airplay charts with her debut single "Nightmare" - at the age of just 21. "The Wind Is Picking Up" is the name of her debut album, which was released in January.

From small pubs in his home town of Manchester to large festival stages, Jack Curley has come a long way in a short space of time. The 25-year-old's debut album "My Heart Can't Take The Music" was released at the end of May. His single "Down" became an international chart hit with well over 70 million streams.

Marc Atlas, who is only 18 years old but is already being compared to Lewis Capaldi, will also be performing on Friday. He showed that he is not afraid of big stages last September at the NDR 2 Papenburg Festival in front of 20,000 people. His debut single "Falling like A Stone" was released in October.

Three evenings with NDR Schleswig-Holstein on the town hall stage

The highlight of the NDR Schleswig-Holstein stage program will be on Tuesday, 24 June: Aura Dione will be performing live in front of the town hall. With the songs "I Will Love You On Mondays (365)" and "Geronimo", the Dane has reached the top of the charts in numerous countries - including Germany. With further hits such as "Friends" and "In Love With The World", she wants to get the audience dancing at Kieler Woche. Also on stage that evening: Afterimage. The band from Kiel celebrates songs in the style of rock bands from the 70s and 80s. Last year, they won the LocalHeroes competition organized by the Schleswig-Holstein State Music Council.

Fans of Pur and Aretha Franklin will get their money's worth on Thursday, June 26. Abenteuerland not only imitates the typical Pur sound, but also consists of musicians who accompanied the original band on tour for several years. Hits such as "Drachen sollen fliegen" will not be missing in Kiel. Afterwards, soul is on the program - from the tribute band Aretha - The Queen of Soul. The band has dedicated itself to the music of the legendary Aretha Franklin. True to the original, they perform songs such as "Respect" and "Think" on stage.

On the last evening, Saturday, June 28, party hits from several decades of music history are the order of the day. The Kiel cult band Tiffany will then rock the Rathausbühne. Leo In The Lioncage will open the live program with a mix of Afro-Cuban Latin, funk, soul and reggae. Also included: their new single "Not Alone This Time".
