The children's cinema is visiting the Leherheide district library again. The animated film "Ernest & Célestine - The Journey to the Land of Music" continues the story of the Oscar-nominated animated film "Ernest and Célestine" and tells a story about parents and children, self-determination and recognition - and the power of music - in an aesthetically independent way and with a beautiful sense of humor.
When Ernest the bear's precious violin breaks down, he and his best friend, Célestine the mouse, decide to travel to Ernest's home town of Sharabska to have the violin repaired. When they arrive, however, they discover that all forms of music have been banned in the country for many years. Ernest and Célestine do everything they can to bring back the music and with it the joy. They join the tricky "musical resistance" and soon the country comes back to life: "Long live music! And the freedom of sound!"
The children's cinema is a media-educational offer for film education for young people and is organized by the Bremerhaven Cultural Office in cooperation with the Leherheide District Library. It is aimed at families and children up to the age of 12.
The film will be followed by a creative activity.
