KinderUni - Kinder, wie geht denn das: Kunst studieren?

In the organizer's words:

Artists have a very unique view of the world - they are not interested in what is useful, but in what is behind things. For two hours, you'll get an insight into what exactly that means and how you actually become an artist. We have chosen a topic for your Blitz art studies: knots. You know knots from shoelaces, but they also occur when your hair gets ruffled in the wind. Knots are varied and can be annoying, but tying them can be a real art! After a short lecture and the consideration of a knot problem, you will do some artistic knot work.

Questions arise such as: "In which material do we want to tie the knots?" and "Do we want to make them as a thing or as a picture?". Three workshops offer different answers - a variety of knots and their images are created. In the bronze workshop, Moritz Walser will show you how to form knots from wax that can later be cast in bronze. Stephan George in the plaster workshop will explain how to mold a knot in plaster. And in Johannes Steubl's etching workshop, you can print a picture of your knot as a relief on paper.

There will be a small exhibition at the end. This is also part of the course! Your parents are also invited to attend from 5.30 pm.

Please note: As places for this event are very limited, it will take place twice. Participation is therefore only possible at one of the two events.
