Australian shooting stars King Stingray are bringing their unique Yolŋu surf rock to Germany for the first time in 2025.

With their unmistakable blend of indigenous Yolŋu manikay chants, surf rock, indie and funk, King Stingray have caused a sensation in Australia and beyond. Their self-titled debut album from 2022 was celebrated with five ARIA nominations, the Australian Music Prize 2023 and numerous other awards. Five singles from the album made it into the triple j Hottest 100, making it one of the most successful Australian debut albums of all time.
After successful tours with Midnight Oil, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard and acclaimed performances in front of over 100,000 people at the MCG Stadium at the AFL "Dreamtime at the G" match, they are now bringing their thrilling live show to Europe. Their second album For The Dreams continues their success story and shows the band at their artistic peak.

King Stingray have not only made a name for themselves musically, but also as cultural ambassadors for Australia. They have worked with Cotton On, Billabong and Tourism Australia, and their version of Down Under for the "Come and Say G'day" campaign caused a worldwide sensation. Even Australia's Prime Minister Anthony Albanese named Get Me Out as his favorite song of the year.
King Stingray was formed by childhood friends Theo Dimathaya Burarrwanga (vocals) and Roy Kellaway (guitar) in Yirrkala, North-East Arnhem Land. The band combines traditional Yolŋu Manikay chants with modern rock influences and has quickly established itself as one of Australia's most exciting new bands.

From the biggest festivals such as Splendour in the Grass, Falls Festival and Spilt Milk to international tours, every one of their headline shows has sold out. Their second album For The Dreams underlines their musical depth and is creating a worldwide buzz.
