Kingfishr in Germany for three shows in November
HALCYON TOUR 2025

Some bands take years to make a name for themselves, others strike like lightning. The indie folk trio Kingfishr undoubtedly belong to the second category: in a very short space of time, they have become a chart phenomenon and are currently regarded as one of the hottest bands in Ireland. Kingfishr was founded in the small town of Limerick in 2022, but the band's story began even earlier. Eddie Keogh (vocals & guitar), Eoghan "McGoo" McGrath (banjo) and Eoin "Fitz" Fitzgibbon (bass) met back in 2017 during their studies. Their first songs were written in a small corner of McGrath's parents' dairy farm - a place where stories were once brought to life at the kitchen table after long days of work. This storytelling tradition also shapes their music: Kingfishr combine Irish storytelling with atmospheric indie rock, carried by Keogh's distinctive voice and catchy melodies. Their debut single "Flowers-Fire" already attracted attention in 2022, and their follow-ups "Eyes Don't Lie" and "Heart In The Water" sparked unprecedented hype. Their debut EP "Shadow", released in 2024, cemented their position: even before the release of a full album, the band recorded over 100 million streams and quadruple platinum status for their hit single "Killeagh".
On August 22, the eagerly awaited debut album "Halcyon" will finally be released - written, recorded and produced entirely by the band themselves on their parents' farm. The album feels like a "best-of" of their journey as a band so far, combining early releases, big hits and new songs into an emotional body of work. It impressively demonstrates Kingfishr's talent for transforming personal experiences into universal stories - full of nostalgia, change and love.
If you only know Kingfishr via streaming services, you still have a lot to look forward to live. Whether supporting Dermot Kennedy, George Ezra and even legend Bruce Springsteen, at major festivals such as Glastonbury or Electric Picnic or at their own concerts: Kingfishr inspire with their intense presence and natural charisma. Their live album, released in 2024, provides impressive proof: they create a captivating, rousing concert experience without any major staging. And in the fall, they finally return to the stage - with three exclusive concerts in Germany. Three evenings that will leave some in the audience wondering why they haven't already planned their next trip to Ireland.
