The pupils at the Jose Urbina Lopez elementary school in Matamoros, who are in sixth grade, are used to not being cared for much. Their world is characterized by violence, neglect and corruption - it is therefore not surprising that they are among the weakest pupils in Mexico. But their new teacher Sergio Juarez refuses to give up on them and tries to show his pupils a way out of hopelessness. He addresses his class with a great deal of empathy and sensitivity in order to awaken their curiosity and, above all, their potential. Who knows - maybe there is even a genius hiding among them? While the pupils are surprised by his ambition, Sergio's approach is met with incomprehension in the staff room ... Based on a true story.
