Werner Herzog's "Nosferatu - Phantom of the Night" is far more than a horror film - it is a hypnotic journey into the depths of human fear and transience. Inspired by F.W. Murnau's silent film classic, Herzog creates a dark, melancholy world in which the undead Count Dracula embodies not only horror, but also tragic loneliness.

Klaus Kinski shines in the leading role as Nosferatu, a tormented being marked by his own immortality. His gaze - empty and full of longing - reveals that he is more than just a monster: he is a lost soul, trapped in eternity. At his side is Isabelle Adjani as Lucy Harker, whose fragile beauty contrasts with the looming darkness.

The film's images are of haunting beauty - deserted towns, ominous shadows and an omnipresent atmosphere of inevitability. Herzog's interpretation of Nosferatu is not only a homage to German Expressionism, but also a poetic reflection on death, love and the power of darkness.
