Kinoabend: „Le ravissement“

"Film off!" for francophone films: Every month, the Institut français shows a film en français in cooperation with the Student Council for Classical Philology and Romance Studies (KlaPhiRo) and the Schaubühne Lindenfels.

The film deals with the changes that motherhood brings about in a friendship, the importance of lies in a love story, but also questions our image of motherhood and fatherhood.

In the feature film debut of award-winning French short film director Iris Kaltenbäck, 30-year-old Lydia earns her living as a midwife. While she is very successful in her job, she is less fortunate in her private life - another of her relationships has broken up. At the same time, Lydia learns from her best friend Salomé that she is pregnant. She is also asked to accompany the pregnancy and bring Salomé's child into the world. One day, when Lydia spends time alone with Salomé's baby after the birth, she meets Milo, a former one-night stand.

How does Lydia's life fall apart at the seams? Is it her falling out of love, the pregnancy of her best friend or the encounter with Milo, a possible new love? Lydia becomes entangled in a spiral of lies and their lives all begin to totter....
