What happens when you swap comfort and security for adventure and the unknown? A young family shows us how: They are traveling overland from Germany to India with two children - without a fixed plan, but with curiosity and openness.their road trip takes them through breathtaking landscapes and to unforgettable encounters. From Europe to Georgia, through Iran and Azerbaijan, they meet people whose hospitality enriches their journey and dissolves their prejudices. In India, however, the journey takes an unexpected turn: With the birth of a new family member, the family suddenly find themselves trapped in a labyrinth of official arbitrariness as they are accused of surrogacy. They are detained for ten months and fight to leave the country. But they are not discouraged and finally find a way out...After two years, back via Nepal, Kazakhstan and the Black Sea, they have grown as a family and have learned that the strongest response to mistrust and isolation is cohesion and trust.
