Klangformat e.V.: Steh auf, es hat begonnen!

In the organizer's words:

What remains when we have to leave our homeland? What memories do we carry with us and what hope keeps us going? How does it feel when the term "flight" is more than just abstract news, but our own reality?

At a time when borders are being pushed back and walls are being built, the value of solidarity becomes particularly clear. In the midst of a world characterized by division, it is up to us to strengthen this solidarity and find the path to a common peace - even if this is becoming increasingly uncertain.

With the choir concert "Wake up, it has begun!", we invite you to explore these pressing questions in a moving mixture of music and texts. A concert that confronts us with stories of flight, loss and hope while emphasizing the value of solidarity and compassion.

Three moving stories of flight: Julia Solska's 'When I Awoke in War', Helga Wilbrandt's 'An Escape Report' to and from Khaled Alesmael's 'Selamlik', read by Shahin Sheko.

Works by Benjamin Britten, Edward Elgar, Karl Jenkins, Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy and others.
