We all have them: items of clothing, bags, jewelry or shoes that are still of good quality but have not been worn for a long time and are taking up unnecessary space in the wardrobe. This can change on Friday, September 20, 24. On this day, the balou cultural center invites you to a clothing exchange at Oberdorfstraße 23. Between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m., people will be swapping instead of shopping in the spirit of sustainability. "All items can be handed in between 6 and 7 pm before they are released for swapping from 7 pm," explains board member Nicola van der Wal.

Color and style consultant Silke Rüther-Kienitz will be on hand that evening with tips on how to find the right outfit for you. Tailor Sandra Ricke-Thomas will be demonstrating live how small holes in garments can be repaired professionally using a sewing machine or by hand. Anyone interested can be shown on site how to shorten a pair of trousers or a skirt. Food and drink will also be provided. The café balou team will provide all guests with snacks such as pretzels, waffles and drinks until 22:00 . It is not necessary to register in advance. Please only bring clothes and accessories that are in good condition and have been washed. All items without a new home will benefit a social cause.
