"Klein Zaches genannt Zinnober" is a satirical-romantic fairy tale by E.T.A. Hoffmann. As a satire on the division of the world, it reflects the battle between fantasy and rationalism with a great deal of irony.
A humorous delight with highly caricatured characters for adults and children aged 8 and over.

Contents:
Baron Dapsul of Zabelthau the 13th has introduced the Enlightenment. The whole world must become comprehensible and manageable. All things must be described, measured and weighed. A hideous gnome with a fiery red mane, hunchback and spindly legs comes to the highest honors. Everyone loves and appreciates the impudent parasite, who is actually behaving impossibly. Then the magician Prosper Alpanus appears on the scene - and everything changes for the better.
