Kleinraumkonzert: David Ost und Liv Andersson

In the organizer's words:

The small room concert is a monthly format at the Neue Apotheke where artists from very different genres present their songs away from the big stages in a relaxed and personal living room atmosphere.

On Friday, 11.07., David Ost and Liv Andersson will be playing. Admission is at 19:30.

David has lived and worked in Ireland, China, the Caribbean and found himself as a musician in the Scottish port city of Glasgow, where he was actually studying at the time. An open mic night changed everything and reminded him that there was still something he loved and missed. He left his 9-to-5 life behind to finally become an artist.
In August 2023, David released his debut EP "Good Enough". It is an honest reflection of his personal coming-of-age story and remains an important milestone in David's career. It sounds like strong, varied vocals with many timbres, embedded in a modern sound - somewhere between James Blake, Matt Corby, Bon Iver and Sam Fender - complemented by varied songwriting. David writes his own songs and produces most of them himself.

With warm timbres, vivid lyricism and cinematic arrangements, Liv Andersson creates emotional worlds and moods that seem to lie somewhere between waking and dreaming. Her debut EP "Paper Boat" was released in November 2024. The music combines elements of folk, jazz and trip hop in a very unique way and is reminiscent of artists such as Laura Marling, Radiohead, Fiona Apple and Portishead. Liv Andersson's folk noir varies between fragility and expressiveness. And there is always a certain melancholy in it.
