KLICK.CLUB – Fototreff für alle / mit Michel Kekulé

In the organizer's words:

We are starting the new Klickclub year in our new premises and have Michel Kekulé as our guest. His focus is on documentary photography and dealing with socio-political issues. Among other things, he will be giving an insight into his work "Mutterland" at Klickclub: Michel grew up as the child of an East and West German family in both German realities. This dual socialization as a post-reunification child shapes his photographic view of socio-political issues such as migration, origin and social disparities. In his projects, he makes different living environments visible and sharpens our view of social structures. His work has found international resonance in publications as well as group and solo exhibitions. In 2023, Michel Kekulé initiated the curatorial collective Re:Borders e.V., which combines artistic practice with political activism. Since 2021 he has been studying at the Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie, where he will graduate this spring.

We are looking forward to the evening with him and you! You can now find us at Hasselbrookstraße 25.

Our click club: photo meeting for everyone! Let's watch films together, look at pictures, browse through photo books, look through works and just sit together over a drink. We'll prepare something and you just come along. We are open to ideas and suggestions, topics and requests. The AFF Klickclub starts at 6:30 pm at our Hasselbrookstraße location and is aimed at anyone who wants to get involved with photography. Come along and have a nice evening with us!
