Klimacheck Koblenz | Wie steht es um den Klimaschutz in der Stadt Koblenz?

What is the current state of climate protection in the city of Koblenz?

Students on the Bachelor's degree course in Economics - Sustainability - Transformation at the Hochschule für Gesellschaftsgestaltung addressed this question. For Koblenz, they carried out the "climate check" of the Stadt.Land.Klima! e.V. association. Based on an analysis of 35 municipal policy measures in six sectors (energy, heating, transport, industry, agriculture and administration), this provides an overview of climate protection measures already implemented in Koblenz and shows where there is a need to catch up. It also provides a comparison with other cities and municipalities in terms of climate protection.

Following the presentation of the results of the climate check, there will be a panel discussion with guests from politics, city administration and civil society. Together, we will address the following questions: What potential for forward-looking climate protection projects can be identified from the results? Where are there links to existing projects? What concrete measures can be implemented in the coming years?

Stadt.Land.Klima! is a nationwide initiative for municipal climate protection. Its aim is to make climate protection easier to implement at local level. To this end, the association has drawn up a ranking of 35 easy-to-measure measures that make the political will for municipal climate protection visible, measurable and comparable throughout Germany.
