Klimaschutz im peruanischen Regenwald: Delegierte der Asháninka teilen ihre Perspektiven

Whether at home, at work or as a volunteer - everyone can make a contribution to a sustainable world with more climate protection. Sustainability also means broadening our own perspective and constantly adapting our actions.

This event will give us a special opportunity to do just that:

Yanet Velasco Castillo and Melqui Huaman Delgadillo from the indigenous organization CARE report on how they are experiencing the effects of climate change on the Ene River in the Amazon region of Peru, what they are doing to protect their territories and what living sustainably means to them. The indigenous delegates will explain the challenges they face in the rainforest and the projects and solutions they are pursuing.

After the impulses from the two delegates, we will open the audience discussion. By way of introduction, Sylvia Baringer from the One World Office in the Department for Climate and Environmental Protection of the City of Munich will give a brief overview of the climate partnership and Munich's concrete cooperation with the Asháninka.
