Music and painting by Kim Schneider:

The artist Kim Schneider takes us into her world of "Sounding Pictures", a world on the border between music and painting, where she has been working and drawing her inspiration for decades.

Kim Schneider combines music and painting through the connection she perceives between sounds and colors. In her opinion, the expression of a piece of music can be reflected in the color and form of a painted picture. Her musical performance with classical and modern compositions from Mozart to Moszkowski is combined with pictures she has painted herself, which are based on musical inspirations. The second part of the evening will feature passages from Kim Schneider's book "Klingende Bilder", after which the artist will be available to answer questions.

Kim Schneider, born in South Korea, has been playing the piano since she was three years old. She performed as a concert pianist as a child. In her adopted home of Munich, she has performed numerous chamber music activities in piano trios and orchestral accompaniments with the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra and various choirs. She also studied at the Berlin University of the Arts and painting is another expression of her artistic personality.
