„Klinsmann. Ein Briefroman“ Lesung & Gespräch mit Michaela Maria Müller

Klinsi was my first love, in 1987 in the village. Rick Astley and Bono didn't even need to unpack. I liked everything about Klinsi: the shy look, the baker's blonde hair, the golf convertible in which I would have loved a lift, his modesty, which I assumed was in his smile, and of course his forward play on the pitch. Yet I was an FC Bayern fan and he played for VfB Stuttgart.

Being a soccer fan as a girl led to isolation. It was the boys' sport, other girls weren't interested in it. I started writing letters to Klinsi. No one else listened to me. My life began to fall into place. A declaration of love to being an outsider and the discovery of how old loves still shine.

At the premiere,Michaela Maria Müller, Birgit Fuß and Christin Nichols will talk about feminism, being a woman and a fan, being alone and being different. And about soccer and music. Christin will be reading. A fantastic all-female premiere panel!

Michaela Maria Müller, born in Dachau, grew up on a farm among rhubarb stalks and raspberry bushes. After graduating from secondary school, training as a publisher and working as a bookseller in New York, Munich and Berlin, she studied history and political science at Humboldt University in Berlin. In her podcast, she talks to other authors about writing and origins. Since 2010, she has also hosted the Sunday Salon as a salonière. She has published three novels, most recently "Zonen der Zeit" (Quintus-Verlag, 2024). She also writes essays and portraits for ZEIT Online, Merkur. German Journal for European Thought, taz.die tageszeitung. Her fan status: n/a (no club), ex-FC Bayern (ah, yes) and ex-Union Berlin (because cardless).

Birgit Fuß, born in Fürstenfeldbruck in 1972, started writing for the "Hamburger Morgenpost" in 1993, has been an editor at the German edition of "Rolling Stone" for 25 years and has interviewed Bruce Springsteen, Bono, Sting, Patti Smith and more than 400 other interesting people. She also works as a death and bereavement counselor. In May 2021, her book "100 Seiten: Jim Morrison", in March 2022 "100 Seiten: Die Toten Hosen" by Reclam-Verlag, in April 2023 "R.E.M. - Life And How To Live It" by Reiffer-Verlag. In November 2022, she published her memoir "Sterben darfst du aber nicht" with mikrotext. After London, Hamburg and Munich, she currently lives in Berlin. More at birgitfuss.de.

Christin Nichols, born 1986 in Bünde/NRW, is a German-British actress, musician and dubbing artist who grew up in Spain. After graduating from the HfS Ernst Busch, she performed at the Berliner Ensemble, the Schaubühne, the Volksbühne Berlin, the Renaissance Theater Berlin and Schauspiel Leipzig, among others. She has worked with René Pollesch, Jan Bosse and Claudia Bauer, among others. She has appeared in numerous TV productions and films, including "Marie Brand", "Kroymann", "Friesland" and "Tatort". She plays the female lead in the ARD series "All You Need". As a musician, she has toured with her former band "Prada Meinhoff" with DAF, Mia, Peaches and others. As a solo artist, Christin has already released various singles, has been remixed by Westbam and was voted one of the TOP 3 songs of 2021 by "Musikexpress". Christin lives with her turtles in Berlin.
