Every year during Advent, the Roman city is transformed into an atmospheric pre-Christmas paradise: The smell of freshly roasted almonds, mulled wine and gingerbread wafts through the streets.
At the arts and crafts market, numerous stalls with unique handmade items invite you to browse for gifts.
Stroll through the festively decorated city center from one favorite place to the next. A particularly contemplative sight awaits you on Jesuitenplatz. There you will find the largest Advent calendar in the city, made up of the colorfully illuminated dormer windows of the baroque town hall.
