Word has long since got around in the theater world:
Whether in closed houses or in the open air,
"Kohlhiesel's Daughters" is a hit with audiences at a high level.

Kohlhiesel's daughters are to be married. But before the beautiful Liesl is allowed to walk down the aisle, her prickly sister Susi has to be married. This is the last wish of their deceased mother, which is sacred to father Zacharias. An advertisement for marriage sets in motion a confusion of candidates for marriage and job seekers in which it is no longer clear who is courting whom.

The play by Hanns Kräly is based on Shakespeare's comedy The Taming of the Shrew and has been filmed several times. Unforgettable: Liselotte Pulver shone in the double role of the unequal sisters in 1962.
