Invitation to explore with the Social Imagineering Space.
Subsequent exhibition of the resulting artifacts on June 15, 2025
How do we grieve - today, together, in a world that rarely pauses?
On this evening, we will open up a co-creative space for collective mourning practices. For processing, letting go, remembering. In the midst of everything that cannot find words - losses, transitions, uncertainties - we will search together for language, gestures and small rituals for what we are missing.
There is so much to mourn: the climate, global political crises, an exploitative economic system. We are affected: more than ever. And this grief is collective. It needs to be recognized, felt and shared.
We approach it through stories, through sound, through the design of altars and creative forms of expression. Perhaps we write farewell letters. Perhaps we create songs of mourning. Perhaps we will simply create a space in which feelings can have a place.
Feel free to bring materials that are symbolic for you - for example natural materials, candles or lights, old notebooks, writing utensils, sound sources, photos, poems, scents, small boxes, cloths or blankets to build an altar.
The resulting artifacts will be publicly accessible on 15.06.25.
