In the organizer's words:

On towers and rooftops of the city
If you want to see Cologne from the perspective of a bird, climb with us onto towers and rooftops of the city that are otherwise inaccessible.
As always, we have found new locations. The roof terrace of the Frauenmediaturm, the conches of St. Aposteln, from where you have a really beautiful view of Neumarkt, and again the roof terrace of the Hansahochhaus. The 65-metre Hansahochhaus was the tallest skyscraper in Europe in 1925 - but only for a short time, as other major cities followed suit. The Koerfer Group actually built a small roof terrace on the roof, from which we can see in all directions without being obstructed. August Sander portrayed Cologne from above from here in the 1930s.
years. And the paternoster elevator still goes up to the 11th floor. From the Frauenmediaturm we look out over the Rheinauhafen. Here we enter a piece of the remaining medieval city wall, the 800-year-old fortified tower facing south, also known as the Bayenturm. The feminist archive has been located here since 1994.
The Basilica of St. Aposteln on Neumarkt is over 1000 years old. After 1200, the
The three arms of the cloverleaf choir are called conches. Between the conches are
towers, which served as a treasury in the Middle Ages. On the upper floor there is a wide
corridor. Hidden in the walls are wall staircases and corridors, whose now walled-up
walled gate led to a bridge over which one could reach the battlements of the Roman
Roman fortification wall.
We would like to thank Mrs. Steinmeier from the Koerfer Group for letting us onto the roof terrace of the
Hansahochhaus, Frank Blissenbach, the sexton of St. Aposteln, and Ms. Stickel
from the Frauenmediaturm.

Note: Please forgive us for the early time. The towers and roofs or upper floors
floors are not accessible later. Please wear shoes without heels. We ride in
with our own bicycles. Of course, we pay attention to the rules of the
StVO. Subject to change due to weather conditions.
