LELÉKA is a young, multicultural Berlin quartet led by Ukrainian singer Viktoria Leléka. The band brings together jazz and Ukrainian folk music. As part of the Sparkasse concerts, LELÉKA will be presenting the program for their new album "Kolysanky", which is dedicated entirely to the world of falling asleep and dreaming. With this album, the band wants to pick up on the tradition of lullabies in Ukrainian folk music. "On the one hand," they say, "it is intended to preserve a piece of Ukrainian culture, revive it and make it known beyond the borders, and on the other hand, it is intended to soothe and calm our souls for a brief moment, despite the dark times of today."
