The second program of the 10th anniversary cycle KOMMAS#X2 deals with the term"stones". In this context, the interdisciplinary work "Retazos" ( 2020) for electric guitar and video by Chilean composer Francisco C. Goldschmidt (*1981), which was recorded during the pandemic as part of the First Friday concert series at Kunsthalle Darmstadt, will be premiered.
The work "Laconisme de l'aile" (1982) by Finnish composer Kaija Saariaho (1952-2023) for solo flute and electronics will then be performed by our flutist Matura Staravoitava. The program continues with the work "Kintsugi" ( 2015/16) for clarinet and tape by the Italian composer Zeno Baldi (*1988), interpreted by the clarinetist Moritz Schneidewendt.
As an interlude, the acousmatic piece 'Metáfora Sobre la Piedra' ( 2016) by Argentinian composer Evelyn Frosini (*1983) will be presented in an interdisciplinary version with video (2022). She will also premiere a new trio for flute, clarinet, electric guitar and electronics (2025, 10 min.).
