King Lear has divided the kingdom and wants to bequeath it to his three daughters. But when the youngest, Cordelia, doesn't seem to give him enough proof of her love, he disowns her. Now the reign is divided between Goneril and Regan, who soon find their old father an annoying burden. And King Lear cannot let go. He still believes himself to be in office. Even if the memory of it gradually fades. An endgame.

Ukrainian playwrights Stas Zhyrkov and Pavlo Arie already made a guest appearance at the 2017 Heidelberg Stückemarkt, where they are now developing a contemporary version of Shakespeare's famous tragedy.
