KONTRAIRE present German-language alternative rock with a progressive edge.
Gliding vocal melodies blend into a quick-witted, dense sound mesh.

ALLES WIRD GANZ SCHLIMM [Emo Doom]
On their debut "VIEL ZU LANG ZUVERSICHT", the band straddles the borderline between self-doubt and social criticism.
In doing so, they head straight for a mental dead end and conveniently have no solution at hand. Their musical influences lie somewhere between dystopian film music, such as that of "28 Weeks Later" and "Chernobyl", and bands like "Fjørt", "OK Kid" and "Audio88".
Or to summarize it briefly with the words from a reaction to the album release: "If you don't feel it, you have no problems."

The daily struggle with one's own thoughts and the endurance of modern loneliness. Finding the strength to keep looking for solutions to make your own world more bearable despite the poor outlook. It is the recurring alternation of melancholy and upswing that is reflected in Lessoner's music. An attempt to provide an outlet for the chaos in your head and to share your pent-up emotions with others.
