The duo consisting of singer/songwriter Jörg Mair (vocals, guitar, banjo, saz, bodhran) and Markus Angeli (double bass, bandoneon, guitar) are fully committed to the wisdom of folk song, which remains reduced to its most essential components. World music influences are combined to create catchy songs.

Lyrics that deal with love, war, drugs and human crises in an equally unvarnished way. It is palpable that here the story is not an accessory to the song, but a driving force that wants to be heard.

The music of Anthony's Garden is reminiscent of folk greats such as Neil Young, José González, Stephen Stills or Bon Iver.
