Between near and far, Munich and Wuhan - a queer young singer/songwriter from China touches us with his voice. His songs, somewhere between Damien Rice and Nick Drake, are intimate snapshots that tell of the grief for his mother, the feeling of being a stranger in his own homeland and the search for new happiness. With an open-tuned guitar and a deep sense of melancholy, he combines neo-folk influences from the American and British scene with his own cultural background.

Daniel also writes about life abroad and what it's like to be a queer young Chinese man in a foreign culture. So far, he has performed at the Munich Volkstheater, the Transit Festival in Regensburg, the Digitalanalog Festival, the Traunstein Fortress, the Kulturbahnhof Hersbruck and many more. Daniel has appeared on the radio on Zündfunk-Nachtmix and M94,5.
In 2025 Daniel He will release his debut on physical sound carrier. Florian Kreier aka Angela Aux has signed Daniel for his label Inselgruppe. The release for the vinyl record is in fall/winter 2025/26.
