Circus, theater, clowns, papier-mâché and sensations. What fascinates us about the boards that mean the world?
In this program, Anek (vocals) and Lorenz Schönle (piano and saxophone) take us into the world of dreams and show business. Old acquaintances from the industry are celebrated, sung about and jazzed up. With modern arrangements, the Anek duo enchants us again in this program with expressiveness and musicality.

Lorenz Schönle - Piano - (*1993) discovered his passion for music as a child. In his home town of Soest, he received piano and saxophone lessons at an early age and discovered his passion for jazz in the town's school and music school big bands as well as in the saxophone quartet. In his musical career, Lorenz has gained a lot of experience as a saxophonist in big bands and ensembles, including as lead alto player in the big band of the Glen Buschmann Jazz Academy (2012 - 2014) and the NRW State Youth Jazz Orchestra (2014 - 2017). Lorenz works as a freelance saxophonist, pianist and instrumental teacher in Hamburg. Among other things, he is a singer and arranger for the vocal ensemble "Inspiration, Dear!" and saxophonist for the Cologne band "Lariza".

Anek (Anke Krahe) - vocals - born in Hamm, completed her Abitur with music as her main subject at the Oberstufenkolleg in Bielefeld. It was there that she discovered jazz and started playing the piano in a jazz band. However, she was initially drawn to the circus and theater. She attended schools in Brussels and Paris and spent several years as a street performer, juggler and actress. When she arrived in Hamburg, she founded an independent theater group. She also studied theater pedagogy in Lingen and directed and taught at the theater and in the independent scene. As a freelance actress, she sang in various productions and gradually found her way back to jazz. In 2012, she founded the jazz ensemble Klotzquintett, with which she combines lyrics and music. She has been playing in a duo with Lorenz Schönle since 2021.
