At dusk on April 20, Ana Ott and the Mülheim Zòngtage will present experimental folk, ambient and electro-acoustic avant-garde.

Lazzaro (Geraldine Vanspauwen)

Under the name Lazzaro, Geraldine Vanspauwen straddles the line between ambient and intuitive songwriting, exploring the intersections between poetry, raw noise and experimental folk. Guided by an enduring love of intimate tape recordings and loops, found sounds, dreams and diaries, tangible textures, fragile and haunting voices... an ethereal yet physical soundscape emerges. She currently performs solo (guitar, voice, tape decks and other electro-acoustic instruments) and with the bands Zemlya (drums, voice) and Sergeant (guitar, voice) and hosts a monthly radio show, Unburdened Bones, on Kiosk Radio. She lives in Brussels.

N (Hellmut Neidhardt)

N is one of the most prominent German drone/ambient artists - he has been active since the early 1990s and has released more than 50 records. N's drone/ambient style sometimes goes beyond drone, with a kind of dark and sometimes strange improvisation. Very unique and perhaps as if N's guitar has been mutilated by a strange wizard through a computer. The main focus is on the vibrating connection between his guitar and the electronics, with the different layers of sound hanging like wires in the air between the two amplifiers, even in the moments of highest density.

Graneg Sandpapier (Alexis "Schlax" Ludwig)Self-developed synthesizers and other effects are the basis for the stage program of Graneg Sandpapier, an artistic figure that has been continuously developed since 2018. In addition to these devices, steel cables stretched across the room and a semi-acoustic guitar with piano hammers are used in the performances. Surrounded by found objects such as stones, blades of grass or smashed drum parts, samples are used to create soundscapes reminiscent of machine-like drones or shimmering swarms of insects. Speech interludes (live or as samples) react to social issues, but offer no solution. Everything is improvised, follows patterns and is different every time.
