The oratorio"Le Roi David" ("King David"), written in 1921 by Swiss composer Arthur Honegger, with which he became internationally known , will be performed.
The life of King David, his military career, his politics, his strengths and weaknesses of character are reflected in the originality of the music. The musical numbers, rich in images and contrasts, are linked by a narrative text.
We are particularly pleased that the well-known actor and reciter Heikko Deutschmann will be taking on this task.
The other performers are:
Mi-Young Kim (soprano), Hildegard Rützel (alto), Minsub Hong (tenor)
Camerata Wannsee, Beethoven Orchestra Berlin
Conductor: Jan Sören Fölster
Admission: 25/20/12,-€ (7,-€ discount for pupils, students and recipients of citizen's allowance in the first two categories)
