Moritz von Eschersheim - "Narrowly escaped death on stage, a quick sound check, test, test!"
The new bouncer of songwriting kicks kitsch's ass
With a rocket launch of over 1,500,000 views and many thousands of streams for his latest releases, his fans make it clear that there is a special, tight-knit community behind a truly ordinary singer-songwriter: "Early, mid, late 40s, thinning hair - four children from two relationships, no entry in the Schufa".
Moritz von Eschersheim is breaking completely new ground in his search for social change and genuine community in a stereotypically predetermined music genre. With his songs, he tackles what politicians have left undone: "The best way to get CO2 levels down: don't sleep with people who fly in private planes". If the politicians don't do anything, he just makes the politicians and lets them appear as AI voices in his songs!
His virtuoso vocal mix - sometimes rough and almost rapped, sometimes falsetto-like and fragile - and his guitar playing between singer-songwriter, bossa, punk and pop are a real live experience. In December 2022, he won Brandenburg's renowned pop competition "Local Heroes" for the best song and the special prize "Best Political Song" at the Peter-Rohland-Singewettstreit in September 2024.
Moritz von Eschersheim is now presenting his new album "Flausen im Kopf und Flusen im Bauchnabel", which not only impresses musically, but also sets new standards lyrically. With songs such as "Bubble", in which he describes his life bubble, or the profound "Hand", which won an award at the Peter-Rohland competition, the album proves how powerful and versatile German-language music can be. Between socio-critical messages and a stylistic journey from folk to funk to hip-hop, Moritz shows that change is not only necessary, but also worth listening to.
"Flausen im Kopf und Flusen im Bauchnabel" is more than just an album - it is an invitation to leave the comfort zone and discover new perspectives together.
