In the organizer's words:

From alternative rock to blues and folk, Mert Güney creates a wide variety of music to tell his life-inspired stories. Stories become lyrics, emotions are carried by melodies and everything is presented in an energetic and captivating live performance.

Born in a small but multicultural city with a diverse art scene in Turkey, he has been in touch with music since early childhood.

After moving to Chemnitz in 2015 for his master's degree, he quickly found his place in the local art and culture scene. In early 2016, he founded the band "South of Blue" and they released their first album in May 2016, which was just the starting signal for numerous concerts, cultural events and awards.

Independently of other projects, he has been giving concerts as a solo artist for many years and started working on his solo project in 2019. The first single was released in November 2019, followed by a second single and a music video in early 2020. The debut EP "Lepiska" was released in November 2021.
