Konzertreihe "Electair" - Nr. 1: Seiji Morimoto, Achim Zepezauer, Hanna Schörken

The "ElecTair" concert series aims to make the diversity of electronic and improvised music visible, bring musicians together and promote interdisciplinary approaches in City Essen.Nord. The first concert in the ElecTair series features three artists from the experimental music scene in Berlin and the Ruhr region.

Seiji Morimoto, born in Tokyo in 1971, studied musicology at the Kunitachi University of Music and graduated in 1996. During this time, he began playing the electronic pieces of John Cage and his own sound performances. Since then he has been creating sound performances, installations and videos. In 2003, Morimoto moved to Berlin, performed and exhibited in Europe and Asia. Together with Kris Limbach and Pierce Warnecke, he runs the label emitter micro. Since 2017 he has been the curator of the concert series Experimentik im tik in Berlin-Friedrichshain.

Achim Zepezauer (Ach Kuhzunft) has been influenced by music and art in equal measure since childhood. Studying art brought him closer to music and since working as a musician, he has felt a connection to art. As a result, his works often seek out their interface and lead to performances, concerts or installations. He also curates experimental concerts, designs record covers, makes pottery, occasionally makes animated short films and hosts a radio show. He has had his own radio show at Dortmund University since 2005, released a DVD with animated music films in 2006 and joined the band/large formation "The Dorf" with percussion and electronics in the same year. Since 2015, he has curated the experimental concert series "mex" at Künstlerhaus Dortmund, where he has had his own studio since 2021. In addition to releases of vinyl, cassettes and CDs in various line-ups, as well as a floppy disk together with his daughter, there have also been exhibitions and numerous cover designs, to name just a few of his diverse activities.

Hanna Schörken studied jazz singing and musicology in Enschede, Lyon and Cologne, among other places, and has performed with renowned national and international artists in Germany and abroad. She curates the ElecTair concert series.
