There is a new series of events. In the new Knowledge Bites format, researchers talk about current topics and invite you to join in the discussion.

On the evening, Prof. Katharina Landfester, Director at the MPI for Polymer Research, and coral researcher Jonathan Jung from the MPI for Chemistry will discuss how great a threat microplastics pose to corals and the marine ecosystem.

There will be little appetizers starting at 17: short 15-minute tours of the plastic education trail. You can ask your first questions about why there is actually so much plastic and why the plastics have so many different names. We will also show you individual corals - you can even touch them.
